Hello Everyone! My name is Lisa and I started quilting between 2015 and 2016. I thought I couldn't sew worth a darn. One day, I decided to make fleece scarves for my daughter's high school football's state championship game. I had a singer sewing machine that I rarely used because it never stitched correctly. I tried making the scarves on the singer, but I became so frustrated! I quickly ran to Walmart and bought an inexpensive Brother sewing machine. And WOW! I could sew! Of course my mind ran wild, and I've been sewing ever since.
I started out making tote bags. There were tons of tutorials on YouTube. From there, I started making cosmetic bags and then moved on to quilts. I have since upgraded my sewing machine (now two) and invested in a Baby Lock Coronet longarm machine with a 5 foot hoop quilting frame. 😃

I love my Baby Lock Coronet, but I hope one day I can upgrade to a bigger throat machine and a much wider quilt frame. I have my eyes set on Handi Quilter's machine with the Pro-Stitcher plus. We can dream, can't we? 😉
I do currently work as a full-time consultant for an Information Technology (IT) company. I am anxiously looking forward to retirement one day so I can put my creativity in full play. Patience...
My plans for this website is to share my photos, my patterns, links to free patterns, and provide resources that may be useful to you. I would love to hear feedback about my site and see if there is any other content you think that might be useful.
Last thing - I just picked up creating doll clothes for 18" dolls (American Girl). My youngest daughter who is now grown, had a doll that was completely naked. LOL. It was given to my Grand Daughter who is now 3 years old. Of course, I had to learn to make some clothes. Honestly, I really enjoy making doll clothes. It's one of those projects that you can get done in a few hours. And boy is it rewarding. Because I enjoyed it so much, I now have 3 American Girl dolls who are my models. I'll create a tab on this page and share some photos in the near future.
Thank you for visiting my website!
